Sun 6 May - St Mary’s

Posted on 13th May in 2007, Friendly Match Reports

St Marys 257-5
Shoreham 114-9

St Marys elected to bat and always looked in control on a good track with openers Wanostrock (32) and Hobbs (10) putting on 24 for the first wicket. Boniface (96*) coming in at 3 played an innings full of powerful hitting to push the score along with McMenamin (48) and Gerrard (46) helping the total to 257 for 5. Shoreham started tentatively and despite 47 from veteran Ray Trick never looked like getting the target. Wickets fell regularly with Winter (3 for 21) and Wellington (3 for 8 ) the pick of the bowlers for St Marys. Shoreham were under pressure to avoid defeat but James Trick (17*) and Dan Setterfield held out with Shoreham finishing on 114-9.
