Flimwell II 195-8
Shorehamm II 34 all out
Shoreham II maiden voyage into league cricket got off to the worst start possible. Flimwell II batted first on a good track and found runs hard to come by due to some tight bowling by the impressive Tom Palmer (2-27) and the evergreen David Fletcher (2-30). However persistent work with the bat by Toby Walker (76) and Dave Illiffe (57) saw Flimwell’s total rise steadily. It wasn’t until the introduction of Wyn Melville-Jones (4-23) and the re-introduction of Tom Palmer that wickets started to fall leaving Shoreham a target of 195. After tea Shoreham decided against batting being bowled all out for 34, the less said about this the better.
