Sat 16 June - 2nd XI v Hadlow II

Ray Trick turned back the years on Saturday with a great catch on the boundary, 36 runs and 3 for 31 off 9. Paul Styles well crafted 57 set Shoreham up to what should have been our first win, but Hadlow bowled well in the middle overs and tied our batsmen down. Sam Trick 20 and Chris Bucks 14 gave us some hope, Tom Palmer’s towering 6 in the last over gave the oppo the wobbles but we fell short on 181 for 7 chasing Hadlow’s 191. All in all maybe not a win, but a very pleasing result.
