I’ve been reliably informed that Brownie and Russell are both in with a chance so I’ve added their names to the poll.
i’m afraid, there only ever been one. and that’s you ed. looking forward to writing the report for the last match!
Hehe well with only one of the ‘Top Five’ playing in the last game of the season on Sunday it’s all down to Jackson!
Did Jackson fulfil his divine duty and swing across the line on Sunday?…
I heard he got into double figures. So I think it’s a draw between all three of us! Ha ha maybe we should have a play-off?
what… a duck-off? maybe we should all face balls from James and it can be sudden death…
I presume you don’t mean Asplin? We’d be there all day…
Blimey if Jasplin got involved we would be there all week!
Mr Wardo surely you must win on most goldens?
I think I’d be happier with dividing the number of ducks we’ve had by the number of innings – thereby deducing who has the highest ‘Ducks Per Game’ (DPG) ratio?
I’m not so keen on that idea…..
How about we judge it on the basis of who was first to reach the winning number of ducks from the beginning of the season…
As a neutral party here I believe that the number of Golden Ducks should be used to decide the recipient. They show a true commitment to the cause.
I agree. It shows a special kind of selfless determination. Obviously, nothing like mine last season. No one this year is even in double figures…
That settles it then…most Goldens it is…eddy boy, how many one ballers have you faced?
Er… I can’t remember. If I said none would you believe me?
That’s funny because i have none too…what a coincedence…
I seem to remember ‘The Funny Rivett’ writing (in capitals) GOLDEN DUCK next to one of your innings in the book Mr Wardo…!
That’s an intriguing development…
There’s a sub-clause in my contract with Shoreham Cricket Club which states that Ed can never be given out on his first ball. So there.
I’d get your acceptance speech ready mate…
Ed, the last I was aware you had collected two of these golden awards. As for the sub-clause in the contract those are worthless as I believe yours also states you will not bowl more than 4 wides in a game.
When the hell have I EVER bowled more than 4 wides in a game? You must be mistaking me for JD.
4 in a game Ed, not in an over.
